Common questions
A process is a distinct sequence of actions your team performs repeatedly across your systems. For example: reconciling accounts, routing a claims file, renewing a policy, or exporting a compliance report. If Pointee discovers multiple variations of the same general task (for example, reconciliation for different account types), each variation counts as one process.
Yes. Many teams start on Discover to build confidence and internal buy-in, then move to Automate once the first process maps are signed off. Upgrading keeps all your existing process maps and discovery data. There is no additional setup fee for upgrading.
No. Pointee operates at the UI layer, the same way a human operator does. It does not need database access, API credentials, or any changes to your existing systems. Your IT and security teams will not need to open additional access paths.
All process observational data stays within your environment. Pointee does not transmit screen content or transaction data to external servers. For Enterprise clients, we provide a GDPR-aligned data processing agreement. We can also arrange a technical walkthrough with your compliance team as part of onboarding.
After signing up, we schedule an onboarding call with your operations lead and IT contact. We deploy the Pointee observer alongside your existing workstations, run the initial discovery scan (typically two to five business days), and present the first process maps within two weeks. No development work is required on your end before the observer is deployed.
Monthly plans have a three-month minimum. This covers the discovery scan, process mapping, and the first automation cycle, which typically takes six to eight weeks. Annual plans include a 10% discount. Enterprise contracts are negotiated individually.
